About Tsoline Hajian
Tsoline Hajian discovered her love of music in early childhood. Growing up in an artistic family, she was introduced to music and the arts. She started piano lessons at the age of five at the Tchaikovsky Professional Music School in Armenia and continued her music education at Komitas conservatory.
Later she studied at Mannes School of Music in New York City, with renowned pianist and teacher Nina Svetlanova and obtained her Bachelors of Music degree. She received her Masters of Music degree in piano performance at UCLA under the guidance of Professor Walter Ponce where she was a recipient of the Charlotte Brown Award, a Gluck Fellowship and the Mimi Alpert Feldman Scholarship. Tsoline has always been grateful for the outstanding tools and pianistic fundamentals her teachers provided. In California she established a successful career as a pianist and piano teacher. She has appeared at music festivals and recitals as a soloist and collaborative pianist. Tsoline has performed at the Carnegie Recital Hall in New York, Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, UCLA’s Schoenberg Hall, and at the benefit concerts for the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Zipper Concert Hall.
Tsoline has also worked as a staff accompanist at West Los Angeles College and as a choir accompanist for Loyola Marymount University in California. She is a winner of 2019 Derek H. Jones Piano Concerto Competition. As a performer and educator Tsoline Hajian is in a unique position to share her performance practice with her students. She encourages and challenges students to strive towards their best. She has high personal standards and her energetic and positive outlook inspires others. Tsoline focuses on the individual needs of each student and gives them the tools they need to succeed. Students of all levels and ages benefit immensely from her expert technique and dedication. She believes there are unlimited exciting possibilities to create music and she welcomes everyone on this amazing journey.
